NAAC Condemns Serbian President’s Statement
The National Albanian American Council strongly condemns the political statements made by The President of Serbia, Boris Tadic, during his visit for the celebration of Easter in Monastery of Deçan, in the Republic of Kosova. In direct and flagrant violation of Kosova’s constitution, President Tadic expressed Serbia’s territorial claims towards Kosova by stating that he has “only messages of peace, peace for Serbs, Albanians, for everyone that lives in Kosova, in our Serbia.”
NAAC strongly supports the statement of Kosova’s Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in a letter sent to EU Special Representative Peter Feith saying that President Tadic will not be allowed to enter Kosova in the future if he makes such political statements. The government of Kosova made it clear that it considers this to be a private religious visit for Easter, and should not have been used for political propaganda. We also call upon the Serbs living in Kosova to denounce the statement made by President Tadic.
NAAC congratulates the people of Kosova for once again demonstrating their resolve and not allowing provocations from Belgrade to interfere with their daily lives.

Keshilli Kombetar Shqiptaro American denon me force deklaratat politike te bera nga Presidenti I Serbise Boris Tadic, gjate vizites per Festen e Pashkeve ne Kishen e Decanit ne Republiken e Kosoves. Duke shkelur ne menyre direkte dhe flagrante kushtetuten e Kosoves, Presidenti Tadic shprehu pretendimet territoriale te serbise perkundrejt Kosoves duke thene “ vetem mesazhe paqeje, Paqe per Serbet, Shqipetaret, per kedo qe jeton ne Kosove, ne Serbine tone”.
KKSHA-ja mbeshtet me force deklaratet e Kryeministrit Hashim Thaci ne nje leter drejtuar perfaqesuesve special te BE-n Peter Feith, ku shprehet se Presidenti Tadic nuk do te lejohet ne Kosove ne te ardhmen nese do te beje deklarata politike te tilla. Qeveria e Kosoves e beri te qarte qe e konsideroi kete vizite si nje vizite private Fetare per festen Pashkeve, e cila nuk duhej te perdorej per propagande politike. Ne i bejme thirrje gjithashtu Serbeve qe jetojne ne Kosove, te denojne deklaraten e Presidentit Tadic.
KKSHA-ja pergezon popullin e Kosoves qe treguan si gjithmone edhe njehere zgjedhjen e tyre paqesore, duke mos lejuar provokimet e Beogradit te nderhyje me jeten e tyre te perditshme.
